How do I use this speaking time calculator?

Why might playback not work?

Some browsers (especially on iOS) require a user gesture before speech starts. If you still do not see voices, try desktop Chrome, check your device voice settings, and confirm your device is not muted.

Is this speaking time calculator accurate?

It measures playback duration and derives WPM from your word count. Real speaking time can vary with pauses, emphasis, audience interaction, or slides. If you are rehearsing for something important, do a practice run and adjust the Rate slider to match your natural delivery.

Do you upload or store my text?
